Junior Training Camps

Commanders,

It's gorgeous here today at our home in Belgrade, and makes me think that summer is truly coming. That means I need your help getting ready for this summer's Jr Leader Training Academy Camps. I'm hoping that your boys have been working hard to get ready. The junior staff and I are excited for this years camps and the opportunities to help train your top boys to be better leaders in the local outpost. As you can see on the attached application for JTC/AJTC, we need to know by April 15th how many boys to prepare for. After that, all completed forms and funds must be in by April 30th. Your help in this will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you all "on the mountain." Thanks for all you do for Jesus and Royal Rangers.

Camps

	District camp with focus of instruction reinforced by activity. Boys will start a new journey in leadership development. This will be accomplished through instructional sessions on time management and a variety of leadership skills.
	District camp with focus upon instruction reinforced by activity and leadership roles performed in other camps. The focus of the camp is the idea of the church: a part of a whole body. Boys may be project oriented and build or run events for the benefit of other camps and at times work as a Jr. Leader in the other camps.
	District camp with focus upon instruction reinforced by activity and leadership roles performed while involved in a backpacking adventure. Decision making skills will be conservation and how our actions effect others will be developed through instructional sessions and on the trail experience.
	District camp with focus upon instruction reinforced by activity and leadership roles performed while on a trip. Physical coordination and social skills will be emphasized through performance of canoeing skills. Safety will be strongly emphasized.
	District camp with focus upon instruction reinforced by activity and leadership roles. Individual character building skills will be developed through discussion, instruction and performance of survival techniques. Safety will be strongly emphasized.
	District camp with focus upon instruction reinforced by activity and leadership roles performed while involved in cold weather camping. Decision making skills concerning cold weather outdoor activities and safety issues will be developed while participating in a winter encampment. Safety will be strongly emphasized.
